With a background in environmental policy, Anne Wahlig prioritizes assessing the proper scope and level of detail necessary to efficiently find solutions tailored to client needs.
In the past, Ms. Wahlig has worked in the corporation finance division at the Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., the structured finance group at Katten Muchin Zavis and the litigation department at Mandell Menkes LLC.
Following her early attorney experiences, Ms. Wahlig worked within the international environmental policy arena. As Executive Manager of Marine Ecosystem Services Partnership, an organization devoted to ocean conservation research, she helped to foster a community and shared knowledge base for ocean scientists located around the world. She also collaborated with economists and physical scientists on a variety of research and policy publications.
Directly prior to joining Nijman Franzetti, Ms. Wahlig obtained her master’s degree in environmental law and completed a clerkship at the Illinois Attorney General’s Environmental Bureau. Anne has experience in CERCLA site remediation and PRP member representation, RCRA compliance issues, NPDES permitting and municipal water systems, OSHA and EPRCA compliance and reporting, enforcement and litigation issues under the Clean Water Act and Illinois Environmental Protection Act, and PFAS litigation trends.
