With more than thirty-three years of environmental law experience, Jacqueline Vidmar brings a wealth of knowledge to transactional and regulatory matters and disputes. She represents companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, public utilities, health care and pharmaceuticals, transportation (rail and pipeline), and real estate.

Ms. Vidmar excels in real estate portfolio management, M&A due diligence, contaminated property disputes, remediation and development, defense of governmental enforcement actions, and complex issues involving regulatory compliance and permitting.

Prior to joining Nijman·Franzetti LLP, Ms. Vidmar was a partner in the Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Practice Group at Quarles & Brady LLP, and before that, a partner at Rooney Rippie & Ratnaswamy LLP, a boutique firm specializing in energy and environmental law. While at R3, she represented public utilities and retail suppliers before the Illinois Commerce Commission, counselled private equity clients seeking to acquire state energy assets, and participated in an Integrated Resource Plan proceeding for a public utility in the Caribbean. Ms. Vidmar spent more than 16 years at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal (now Dentons LLP), where she served as Vice Chair of the firm’s Environmental and Energy Practice.

Ms. Vidmar has been recognized industry-wide for her professional work, having been named to Lawdragon Magazine’s “New Stars, New Worlds” list, as well as being an Illinois Super Lawyer, Illinois Leading Lawyer, Chambers and Partners, and Best Lawyer’s 2022 Lawyer of the Year – Chicago in Environmental Law.

Ms. Vidmar graduated from Northwestern University School of Law, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  She formerly served as Chair of the Chicago Committee (aka the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms), and Board Member of the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago
